We remember, with thanks

“My whole life will be devoted to your service.”

That was how Queen Elizabeth II pledged to spend her 70-year reign. She delivered with commitment, selflessness, humility and poise.

We talk a great deal about sustainability and making a long-term impact at Brunel. We are keenly aware, looking back at her reign, at the exceptional standard that she set in doing just that across the decades – and we know the new King will build on this legacy.

We wish only to express here what so many others have expressed too: our thanks and our pride.

She will continue to inspire us at Brunel, as we work to make our own contribution to building sustainable futures.

But, like millions around the world, we will also miss her unwavering leadership and example.
