‘Towards a Greener Future’: Denise Le Gal Op-Ed opens new PLSA climate investing handbook

The Pensions & Lifetime Savings Association has published ‘Towards a Greener Future: Case Studies from the Pensions Sector’.

Ahead of COP 26, the report highlights ways in which pension funds can invest for Net Zero.

The study opens with an opinion piece by Denise Le Gal, Chair of Brunel Pension Partnership: Now is the moment for Finance to accelerate towards Net Zero.

In the article, Denise looks at the urgency of the challenge for investors – and the exceptional opportunity they now face to make rapid progress.

The study, whose publication has already received coverage in financial media, aims to help pension funds set and meet their climate and responsible investment goals.

It is a timely moment to publish just such a report, given the progress made in developing new Net frameworks for investors to follow – and the enormous amount of work that still remains.

If investors can adopt credible Paris-aligned investment objectives, then finance has the capacity to make the rapid changes needed to align to Net Zero.
